    Ozone Overseas today is a leading name in architectural hardware industry in India and a most popular brand in electronic safes segment. With striking global presence and recognition, Ozone constantly strives to provide innovative products and solutions to its discerning customers for all their requirements for architectural hardware and Safety solutions. Our widely spread customer base includes architects, builders, specifiers and home owners across the world. Ozone offers more than 3000 products from its portfolio, intelligently divided into nine broad categories such as glassage–architectural glass fittings; door control-door closing devices; ergozone-furniture and kitchen fittings; ozomotion-automatic sensor doors and access control systems; balustrades-railing solutions; safe- home and institutional safes; metal doors-fire and security doors; bathroom accessories and urban furniture.

     

     

    What are the hottest trends within the in room security/access control solutions right now?
    Undoubtedly, current trend is of access control devices and providing more control in the hands of user at the same time ensuring secure and convenient way to access a room door or a premise.  Ozone offers many options to cater such needs such as RF/ID card locks, proximity locks and intelligent locks to meet the growing demand from various hotels and restaurants. We also offer electronic safes for safety of guest valuables. These safes are operated using unique password which is easy to reset for each guest and comes with audit trail feature to track last access data.

     

     

    Which end-user sectors are generating the most income for you now? How important is hospitality sector to you?
    Well, hospitality sector has been of prime importance to us since the inception of our company. We started our business with offering of electronic locks in the year 1999 followed by launch of electronic safes for hotel rooms. Later, we forayed into architectural glass hardware segment with introduction of glass door fittings, shower fittings and also framed/wooden door hardware. Today, we offer many more solutions to hospitality sector other than door locks and in-room electronic safes, these include automatic doors, façade fittings, railings, wardrobe sliding systems, door hardware and utility products such as SS dustbins.  Every sector is contributing almost equally in revenue generation with Government’s focus on each of these sectors such as aviation, public infrastructure, public facilities, hospitality, etc, still the retail business is the biggest contributor.

     


     
    What is the awareness level in the Indian hospitality sector about the advantages of new technologies such as RFID technology, Bio Metrics, Near Field Communications technology? How are you trying to advocate the same?
    With increasing access or exposure of world facilities due to frequent business or leisure travels, today end users are well aware about these technology driven products. Even hotels and restaurants want to provide similar experience to their guests to derive more business and stay competitive. Today, the competition is not just with locally present hotels but also with the ones located overseas. It is true that awareness level is now increasing among Indian hospitality sector but that may not be the only reason for sluggish demand. Price too plays an important role for making a product decision. Nonetheless demand is increasing with time. We as a leading brand always try to popularise such products application, features, and benefits (direct as well as indirect) for end users as well as for hoteliers. We carry out e-campaigns time to time for reaching out to decision makers in hotels and restaurants of all sizes. We also publicise these products through magazines catering to hospitality sector. n
